At the beginning of each year, we at Cape Resorts dedicate time to the restoration of our historic properties. The authentic charm of our seaside collection presents an important responsibility—one anchored in honoring these special places and preserving them for the future. Below, we explore the seasonal improvements we've made in Cape May and Sag Harbor, all in an effort to welcome you for years to come.

Restoring an Icon
320 gallons of blue paint used. 40 bathtubs reglazed. 132 red chairs painted in the Blue Pig Tavern. These numbers make up a wonderful whole: the two month-long winter restoration of Congress Hall, America's First Seaside Resort. Our beloved Big House by the Sea is now in its second century, and preserving this grande dame is no easy task—but the effort is well worth the reward.
