welcome to congress place suites

Located in the heart of Historic Cape May, just one block from Perry Street Beach, the Congress Place suites are newly renovated, fully equipped, apartment-style rooms. The suites are Congress Hall’s newest sister property, featuring the same fresh, cool blue tones and whimsical seaside décor characteristic of a Congress Hall experience.

Sitting above the quaint Washington Street Shops, these second story suites provide unmatched views of Congress Hall, Carpenter’s Lane, Washington Street Mall, and Perry Street. Bright, sunny picture windows let the light in and provide the ideal frame for people watching, or gaining a unique perspective on the historic town of Cape May.
While the suites are located a few feet away from Cape May’s finest restaurants, all four come with a fully equipped kitchen, complete with a four-burner stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, counter top, sink, dishes and supplies. Enjoy breakfast in the dining area before heading out for a day of adventure. In the separate living area, a sleeper sofa allows for additional guests or a comfy spot to watch movies on the flat screen TV. Bring the whole family, or plan a weekend getaway for friends- portable inflatable beds are available in all of the suites..
As guests of Cape Resorts, those staying in the Congress Hall Suites will enjoy all of the amenities of Congress Hall. Guests are provided with complimentary WiFi and Cable, access to Congress Hall’s pool, full beach service, as well as chairs, towels, and umbrellas on the beach. Plus, the suites are just steps away from Congress Hall’s relaxing Sea Spa, brick oven Pizza in the Boiler Room, and the classic-American comfort food of the Blue Pig Tavern.

Fun and Games

We’ve loved events like Monday Night Carnival at Congress Hall, Clambakes on the Lawn and fun stuff like Bingo with Blue. Will any of those be happening soon?

Our goal is to create a fun and safe environment for all our guests and we are currently awaiting state guidelines in order to complete our programming offerings. Stay tuned!

What other activities are happening in Cape May? Can I climb the lighthouse, rent a bike or go on a horse-and-carriage ride?

Currently, activities are obviously curtailed by COVID-related guidelines. You CAN take a tour of the Historic District on a horse-and-carriage tour (ask our concierge for details). And you CAN, at least, drive or bike down to the lighthouse and behold this famous old landmark, while walking the Cape May Point State Park (wearing a mask and social distancing). Bike rentals are available from Cape Resorts. And we are also able to supply you with tickets for whale and dolphin-watching trips. As well as checking this page regularly, we also recommend you visit the website of Cape May MAC, who operate the lighthouse and trolley tours as well as a LOT of fun cultural activities on the island. They’re providing updates at www.capemaymac.org.
