Health & Wellness
at Congress Hall

The Victorians were clever people. They invented—among other things—the concept of the seaside resort, primarily because they believed that ocean breezes and salt water soothed the body, cured ailments, and promoted a holistic wellness.
We expand on that philosophy today with a range of spa treatments and complimentary guest fitness classes at Congress Hall. From morning yoga on our fine-sand beach to a luxurious day at our Sea Spa, a stay here is rooted in simple pleasures and healthy indulgences inspired by the ocean—just as it was back in 1816.

Science Says...
The Ocean Is (Really) Good For Your Health

The summer season is all about our beaches and pools. Cape May’s wide, breezy, white-sand beaches are regularly named among America’s best in numerous annual surveys, so we know you’re going to want to spend a lot of time on them. There are reasons why your mind and body crave beach time. Studies have shown you get a vitamin D boost from the sunshine, the iodine in the ocean is an excellent immune system booster, the sand does a fine job of exfoliating your body and salt water helps remove toxins from the skin.
As our guest, you'll enjoy impeccable beach service that takes all the hassle out of a day by the sea. Leave the chair and cooler at home — we'll set up complimentary beach loungers, towels and umbrellas when you arrive and deliver Beach Menu bites right to your spot on the sand.
