As traditions return and new ones are created, I cannot help but feel excitement for the year ahead. The rhythm of the seasons infuses our calendar with myriad things for which to look forward – Winter Wonderland; Wilderness Explorers; Intention; Rooted; new immersive packages; and of course, those long, lazy summer days. We love marking the calendar and turning the page because each season brings its own adventures.
As we do each year, we have worked hard during the winter to upgrade and maintain our historic properties. One of our younger ones, Baron's Cove, turns 65 this year. And our other mid-twentieth-century gem, the Beach Shack, has expanded with 11 new rooms and a complete facelift. In addition, both the Star Inn Carriage House and Congress Place Suites have seen top-to-bottom renovations. The Pridwin, at 96, is completely kit out for its first full season as a part of Cape Resorts, and the new dock-to-dock water shuttle between Baron’s Cove and The Pridwin will delight guests at both properties. Beach Plum Farm is expanding its dinner series with the return of the family-friendly summertime Sunday afternoon / evening barbeques and also welcomes its 6th cottage - the Winsome. The Virginia and Ebbitt Room, at 144, feel as young and sprightly as ever, and its renovated public restrooms will make Ebbitt dinner guests feel pampered. The Sandpiper suites have been refreshed, and the spacious new pool is a delight. And Congress Hall, at 207, is enjoying the youth of its third century. From the lawn to the Boiler Room, the hotel is a grand dame that is ready to dance.
