Sag Harbor's Literary History
John Steinbeck, Betty Friedan, Truman Capote, Langston Hughes and more - Sag Harbor has long been a haven for the nation’s most creative luminaries, and this has proven especially true for the literary set. Some authors have written about the village — Herman Melville references it in four chapters of Moby-Dick. Others have lived, or at least penned their stories, here.
