Head out to Beach Plum Farm for lessons on the basics of how to raise hens, how to properly feed and care for chickens, and more!

From the moment you enter Beach Plum Farm, you’ll notice at least a few in-house residents: our free-range chickens. A sustainable and fowl-friendly poultry program is at the heart of our operation at Beach Plum Farm – and now, we invite you to learn how we raise our chickens! Our Beach Plum Farm Livestock Manager Andrew Halbruner will provide lessons on the basics of how to raise hens for eggs, how to properly feed and care for chickens, how to protect your flock, and more.

  • To join us for Chicken Class, please meet in front of the Hoop House at Beach Plum Farm
