The Blue Pig Tavern is currently closed for its annual winter refresh and will reopen on Thursday, February 12. For dining during our closure, we invite you to visit The Ebbitt Room, our sister restaurant located at The Virginia Hotel on nearby Jackson Street.
Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, the Blue Pig Tavern's name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May.
Today, we offer timeless classics and new seasonal delights with ingredients that are always farm-fresh.
Our selections highlight premier vineyards worldwide, with a particular passion for California and Western Europe. Occasionally, a wine from beyond these regions captivates us so much that we feel compelled to feature it. We hope you find these choices as exciting as we do.
Featuring Seasonal Selections.
The Blue Pig Tavern is proud to use fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats sourced from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less that two miles from the restaurant.
