Frequently Asked Questions
Is Winter Wonderland open to the public this year?
Congress Hall’s Winter Wonderland will be open to Cape Resorts hotel guests this year, as well as to dining guests with reservations at the Blue Pig Tavern, the Brown Room, the Ballroom, and the Winter Igloos at Congress Hall.
We invite all dining guests to enjoy Congress Hall’s grounds up to one hour before their reservation time.
Will you have the Vendor Village this year?
Due to capacity restrictions, we will not be hosting a Vendor Village at Congress Hall this year. But fear not! West End Garage on West Perry Street offers a warm indoor holiday shopping experience where you can find many of your favorite local vendors.
Are you hosting Breakfast With Santa this year?
Yes! We are excited to host reimagined, socially-distant Breakfasts with Santa in the Ballroom at Congress Hall, as well as in the Dining Rooms of the Blue Pig Tavern to provide extra space. Breakfast with Santa will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am - 3:00pm, beginning November 28th through December 27th.
Chef Michael is offering a playful new children's menu complete with holiday drinks and a special dessert. Adults will also enjoy a prix fixe menu, including beverages and a variety of entrees to chose from.
Santa will be popping in from time to time to wave hello between the hours of 7:30am and 1pm. He will be available on the Grand Lawn for photos from 1pm-3pm. To comply with health and safety standards, Santa will be available for contactless photos and appearances only.
To make sure that Saint Nick receives each Christmas wish, we'll provide every table with plenty of special stationary to write letters to Santa. We'll include a few expert elfin tips in your menu on how to write the perfect letter to Mr. Claus. After breakfast, head out to the Veranda at Congress Hall, where you'll find our classic Red Mailbox to ship your letter right to the North Pole.
What are the Winter Igloos at Congress Hall?
We’re thrilled to debut the Winter Igloos at Congress Hall—Cape May’s newest holiday dining experience. We’ve set up twelve Winter Igloos on the Grand Lawn of Congress Hall under the glow of our Christmas Tree, each providing private parties with an intimate, socially-distant dining experience. The Winter Igloos can be rented nightly for a party of up to 8 people.
We'll post more information—like Igloo Menus—here soon. In the meantime, you can reserve your Igloo here.
Please note: there is an Igloo Rental Fee of $50 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; $100 on Thursdays; $150 on Fridays & Saturdays; and $100 on Sundays. The Igloo Rental Fee will be charged upon arrival. You may cancel your Igloo reservation up to three days (72 hours) from the time of your reservation. Inside 72 hours, a $25 cancelation fee will be charged.
Will the Train be running? What about the Carousel?
The Congress Hall Express will be running every weekend throughout Winter Wonderland on a first-come, first-serve basis for Cape Resorts hotel guests, as well as for dining guests with reservations at the Blue Pig Tavern, the Ballroom, and the Winter Igloos at Congress Hall.
Congress Hall Express Train Schedule*:
Saturdays: 9:30am - 2:30pm
Sundays: 9:30am - 2:30pm
* Through Saturday, January 2nd.
Due to capacity restrictions, we will not run the Carousel this year.
Do I have to wear a mask?
Masks are required to wear while on property and not seated at your dining table. Elf hats, however, are optional.
I have a question that’s not on this list. Who should I contact?
