The Garden State Table: Wood Song Mushrooms

Saturday, March 21, 2026

Beach Plum Farm

This March, Beach Plum Farm welcomes guests for a special evening in partnership with Wood Song Mushrooms.

As part of our Garden State Dinner Series, Beach Plum Farm proudly welcomes Wood Song Mushrooms of Cape May, founded and led by Lin Conover, whose dedication to specialty mushroom cultivation reflects the strength and diversity of New Jersey agriculture.

The evening will begin with an open Q&A conversation between Chef Russell Wheeler and Lin Conover, sharing their thoughts on food, farming, soil health, seasonality, and the responsibility we share as growers and cooks. Together, they will explore why mushrooms matter in the culinary landscape, how thoughtful farming shapes flavor, and what it means to build a more resilient food system here in New Jersey. Guests will then enjoy a multi course dinner highlighting Wood Song’s harvest alongside Beach Plum Farm’s seasonal produce and pasture raised ingredients, creating a true collaboration rooted in the Garden State.
