Introducing Pizza in the Boiler Room
Congress Hall’s Boiler Room has been the epicenter of night life for Cape Resorts since its debut at the reopening party in 2002. Originally the boiler room, bakery and laundry of the hotel, relics of the past are still on display including the old stone rubble walls, made of ballast stone, the front of the old boiler and a vintage laundry press which has been converted to a movable bar.
This past February and March, in keeping with the baking heritage of the space, a brand new Beech gas and wood fired classic pizza oven was installed right in the stone and brick walls bringing delicious hand crafted individual sized pizzas to the Boiler Room. By cooking at over 700 degrees and blending Neapolitan and New York styles the chefs at Congress Hall have created a perfectly puffed and charred crust. And by adding homemade sauces, fresh herbs and locally raised pork from Beach Plum Farm, the menu boasts a delightful and flavorful variety of 6 signature pizzas.
The no-nonsense concept is simple, pizza and salad, served in the casual setting of one of Congress Hall’s most unique spaces. And what could compliment the new pizza better than our new draft beer tap system, featuring our own Blue Pig Tavern Ale and local Cape May Brewery. The Boiler Room will be open for dinner during season and on weekend throughout the year serving the new, simple menu for all our guests. The late night entertainment roster will continue beginning at 10pm. Please check for hours. And to ensure quality and service, during our first year we are not going to offer take out or room service or upstairs/downstairs menu swapping. We can’t wait for you to try our new pizza!
